Hello! I’m sister Erika and I’m a Patron of PEDS. I’m an Italian nun living in Peterborough since 2018. I belong to a Congregation called ‘The Working Sisters of the Holy House of Nazareth’. Our mission is to share life with others in an ordinary way – working, studying, shopping, enjoying our free time… And, of course, praying! Well then, what a nun has to do with PEDS?

I am a Patron of PEDS and became involved with the charity when Mandy & Sue got in touch with me after reading my book about my own lived experience of an eating disorder. I learnt about the ethos of PEDS and their Mission, which is to help sufferers to "Build a Life to Get Well for" and throughout COVID, became more interested and involved in the work they were doing and was very inspired to hear that PEDS is a unique, Nurse led charity.
