I met Mandy Scott when we both worked on the last NICE guidance committee for eating disorders, published in 2017. I was very impressed with the work that PEDS were doing, in particular the fact that the treatment interventions were very much personalised to each patient. I joined PEDS as a nurse therapist in February 2021.
I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and have been working in a GP practice since 2021. I have a strong interest in mental health and feel very passionately about improving the support for both adults and children with eating disorders in the community. I discovered PEDS during a training event around autism and was impressed with their caring and compassionate approach leading to me joining the team in January 2026.
My name is Sue and I am proud to be the new PEDS Triage Nurse. I am delighted to be part of the PEDS nurse led family. It is a service which combines my two professional passions. Being a nurse and Eating Disorders. I have many years of experience supporting people with eating disorders and have worked with all ages in both community and inpatient settings.
